how much are the micro's costing you? and for a new guy to the .45 scene. whats a must do to the GI? everyone keeps referencing the "loaded" .45, what work can be done myself or at a local shop? what do you like to add or to do to the mirco's to make them a all round better gun.

just courious my local shop has the gi micro for $509. might be able to save 10% during their springfield days next month. is this a good buy?

how much more is the loaded or how much will it cost to have it tweaked? -chris

I have yet to see a micro that is dependable enough that I would trust my life to it!! It seems that malfunctions are inherent when one downsizes a 1911.

If you are indeed new to the 1911 scene as you say, do yourself a favor and buy a full size pistol. Springer's GI issue is a great pistol, you can get one for under 500 bucks and the only thing I did to mine was put houge wrap around grips on it.

Get a good pistol and shoot it alot! In time you will gain a bunch of knowledge regarding what you do and don't like about a particular model of 1911 and YOU'LL HAVE THE SICKNESS AND WILL KEEP BUYING 1911 AFTER 1911 UNTIL YOUR FAMILY FORSAKES YOU AND THEY THROW YOU OUT...BUT THAT WON'T CURE YOU...NOOOO....YOU'LL HAVE TO HAVE THAT ONE AND THEN YOU'LL WANT A COLT AND A DIFFERENT SERIES COLT....THEN IT STARTS THAT YOU START COLLECTING 1911'S MADE BY ALL THE COMPANIES FOR WWI AND WWII....YOUR FRIENDS WILL ALL SHUN YOU....BUT IT WONT STOP THERE....NOOOOO....IT JUST KEEPS ON AND ON AND ON AND ON.... ...YOU'LL BUILD LITTLE SHRINES TO JOHN MOSES BROWNING AND FONDLE ALL YOUR 1911S WHILE YOU MASTURBATE....AND IT JUST GETS WORSE AND WORSE........
