Hello gents,

Heading to the toy show tomorrow and will be looking for a 5 inch model RIA 1911.  Had one a few years back but a good friend of mine wanted it more that I did.

Never had any "issues" with my first one -- always "fed and fired".

Now I know these are an "entry level" 45, but just want a cheap, reliable 45 to be used for plinking and a "truck gun".

So . . . RIA still O-K ? ?

Thanks  ! !

RIA makes a great pistol for the price. None of mine have given any problems. I pull the trigger, they go "bang" and hit my point of aim. No sweat, no problem.

The Only problem I have with mine is now i want two.The only real problem is I do not like the novak mag that it came with, every now and then the slide locks back from a round hitting it. This does not happen with the chip mccormick mags. Again this is not a big deal.
