I'm trying to decide between the Springfield TRP Operator with adjustable night sights and the Sig Revolution Target Nitron.  Does any one have any advice?  I'm new to 1911's, the sig website said the Revolution didn't have any MIM parts.  What is MIM parts and does the springfield have them?  Thanks.

I cant comment on the Sig but my TRP has been an awsome pistol. It has been the most accurate pistol I have fired along with flawlessly reliable having not a single feed failure of any kind. The TRP was worth every penny,

stick to SA.  My experience with SA had been very positive - that's ranging from low grade to its custom shop pistols.

my trp operator was and is a trouble free piece from day one.

i also have a GSR, but i can not comment on how it would have performed out of the box because it was a CPO (SIG certiifed pre-owned).  Only issue i have is that it's grip safety does not work - goes bang without depressing it, a phoenomenon i recently discovered out of curiosity.  other than that, my GSR is an accurate, reliable piece.

Looking at the two, I went with the Sig.  It's got some super high quality components and a fantastic barrel in there.  You get a lot for the money.

Unfortunately, they appear to have some growing pains.  I could never get mine to run reliably and ended up trading it in.

I haven't had good luck with SA either though - I had a loaded model that never worked right either and I ended up trading in.
