Can I install a Champion hammer on my full size GI. I plan on adding a beavertail and wonder if I could just add a Champion spur hammer instead of bobbing my GI's hammer.

I dont know if the Champion's hammer is smaller than the full size GI's, I assumed that it might be so I could just go ahead and add the BT with a Champion hammer.

I am supposed to be buying a pakage of take off parts from a member. All the parts are from a Champion.

He is selling me a Wilson BT, spur hammer, trigger and slide stop. The Wilson BT is an after market part so I am sure I can install it but will need to bob my hammer or buy a new hammer all together.

All these parts are stainless, my GI is parkerized, this is why I am thinking of adding the parts, for a 2 tone look.

Also I want to add these parts myself vs sending it to a smith, this is another reason why I am trying to get take off parts from another SA 1911 pistol.

I dont know if this makes sense but I figured everything would work out. Please leave your opinion.

Shouldn't be a problem. The shorter slide of the Springy Champion should only affect the recoil spring, recoil spring plug, and recoil spring guide. The frame internals should be the same as the full size 1911.
