I bought this MKIV Series 80 Colt about six years ago, and just put in a threaded Jarvis barrel and an Ed Brown bushing. I'm just not so sure about going back to a 1911 now, and was wanting to know what is a decent price to ask for it? I think I paid $500 for the pistol, $250 for the barrel, and $30 for the bushing. I was going to just try and get my money out of it, but I'd like to know if it's worth more than $800.

Mods, sorry for this type of post, but I really do have no idea what the thing is worth.

Thanks for helping!

I am the great Pulpsmack, a prophet and soothsayer. I see the past, I see the future.

The clouds gather over your asking price, for those who want threaded barrels want them on their Mall Ninja tactiblaster, not a secondhand Series 80. I would say to another seller to have patience and the price might be realized, but I see you are going to expire from heart disease from a life of parliaments and junk food, or from tetnus when something rusty pierces you amidst the clutter of that car.

Good lord, man. It's a nice Saturday today. Take that thing down to the carwash and clean that sucker out.

For constructive advice, I would consider trying it in the EE, and if that fails, try selling the barrel/bushing combo seperate, then price the colt with original barrel/bushing, or bargain basement it without.

The all-seeing Mr. Smack is (again !) correct. Put the original parts back in or you will probably be only appealing to a small pool of prospective buyers.
