I don't hear much about Dan Wessons, so what is your opinion of them?

I was looking at the PM-7 and it looks like it uses many good small parts and I believe they have very little MIM parts in them (doesn't bother be that much, but it is nice).

I have the CBOB in .45, LOVE it.
Don't know about the full size guns, but half the parts on mine are Ed Brown.
How can you go wrong?
YMMV

I've owned the Pointman EXP for 2½ yrs (purchased pre-CZ).  It's an excellent handgun!  I've had no problems with it whatsoever.  It has a great trigger and is very accruate.  I picked mine up for $650 which is a very attractive price given its quality and reliability!  Because of my experience, and other comments I've seen herein over the past couple of years, I highly recommend Dan Wesson handguns!

I have a PM1-S and a CBOB... both are top notch, and packed with a lot more value than the price tag reflected. You can't go wrong with one...

what they said

I own two and had three DWs 1911, all where inspected and worked over by Dave.

if you want to buy a DW, contact Dave Severns, he is an expert DW 1911 smith, give him a call you will see what I mean..

Great looking gun with great reviews, but MSRP is $1K+.  Slide is very clean.

I really hate their 'bobtail' model.  That round butt just ain't right on a 1911!

If you have large hands maybe. I handled one at the last X-roads. Does not feel any different to me, and the rounded but certainly helps with printing.  I want one.

Glad to hear they may be getting better.  I have had three, a CBOB, PM7 and a Razorback.  All were junk.  Wouldn't feed ammo, tried different mags and types of ammo.  They were very sharp, bad fitting MSH's and firing pin stops.  The list goes on.  Looks like maybe I would look into them again, the CBOB definately fit my hand nice.  They all were good looking, I'll give them that
