Gonna refinish mine sometime this week but I am curious how to deal with the feed ramp.. It came from SA mirror polished and the pistol runs 100%. If I refinish i am going to bead blast and park which will dull and cover the feed ramp. Do I cover it up somehow to protect it from the blast media and park solution or try to repolish it when I am done? TIA |
I have refinished 5 1911s by blasting and reparking. 3 of these were then GunKoted and baked. I blasted the ramps on all of them and parked them along with everything else. I have had zero problems with feeding. |
