I mean all the way down to the very basics.

It's my understanding that a cone barrel is pretty much like a bull barrel in fuction except with less fitting. Is that even close? How does it effect reliability, accuracy, take down, etc.? Also, how does the link on the end attach?

My ignorance has had my head spinning on this subject for awhile now.

barrel link should only act to rotate the barrel down and back up. If a barrel is fit inpropper a cheap fix is to use a longer barrel link. Side effect you run the chance of breaking slide stops.

Whew. I need to regain my composure and think a little harder.

What I meant was the cone barrel with the "link" on the end of the barrel like the Wilson Combat pictured below.
