Anyone shoot much of it?

Any problems using it through a 1911 for range use and classes?

I wont use Wolf but was considering this.

I used to shoot blazer all the time in 9mm and 45, also 38.357, never had any problem with any of it.

YMMV, but Blazer ammo is generally just a nasty/dirty as Wolf ammo, without the smell......

That said I have fired many calibers of it in many handguns mostly with no problems, although the aluminum cases can cause some feeding/ejection problems mostly in 380/9mm caliber Sig P230s and Walther PPKs.

No cycling problems w/ Glocks or Colt 1911s or Mustang 380s.

Jyogi:

I bought 3000 rounds of blazer brass 45acp FMJ in march for my upcoming training. I put 2400-2500 of this ammo through my Yost 1* (kart barrel) in 3 days. The reason I mention the barrel is, it applies to the end result of this.

Through out the first day or 2 of my advanced handgun class, I had probably a handful, 6-8FTFs with this blazer. It would try to chamber a round, and it would get half way into the chamber, and stick.

After I got home, this happened in my Ed Brown KC.

I dont want to tell a company they are jacked up, but this ammo caused the same failure, in different magazines, in different guns. If you compare a bullet from blazer brass (atleast from the lots I got) and compare it to a WWB/FED bullet, it looks alot different, longer, marred on the outside.

It was great ammo for the price, and I would rank it with wolf after buying 3000 rounds of it. And shooting all of it, I probably had 15-20 FTFs. And inbetween there, I put 600-700 of hollowpoints/WWB/insert other ammo here, with no jams.

If you have a chance to buy anything else, do it. If u got a good deal on it, go for it. Just dont carry it, especially at night. its light signature is the WORST in the night.

I broke the 'rule' of feeding a match barrel 'shit'....so I'll deal with it and learn my lesson..

I shot a thousand rounds of it last summer.  It is extremely dirty and not particularly accurate. It would not reliably work in a Wilson Combat CQB, but worked OK in my Kinber and H&K USP.  It made me decide never to buy cheap practice ammo again; blue box Black Hills or S&B don't cost that much more and are so much better.

almost 1K in a mix of guns (including 4 1911s)...a few FTFs, but nothing to do w/ the ammo

h/w, i keep hearing that HK and keltec dont recommend alum cased ammo so i quit using it...

Oho dear god! Blaser is good ammo. Please dont use it in a gun that costs more than a house payment. All my glocks eat it up, and my SW99 eats it too. Never have I had a FTF or a mag problem from it. Dirty? Not any more than that Remington ammo at wally world. I shoot 400 rounds of it a weekend in  a glock 19 great shooting ammo.

Edit to add: If you dropped prone with gun in the gravel and put a scratch on it would you cry?

If so dont shoot Blaser ammo in it.

I saw a kid at the range a few months back experience a case separation with the CCI Blazer aluminum cased 45 out of his Kimber.  He was crying like a baby and blaming the owner of the indoor range for his injury with ammunition that he himself brought to the range.  FWIW, he just had a welt on his chest where something blew back and caught him and was not bleeding or anything.  I told him to stop shooting that crappy, aluminum cased ammo, and his injury could have been way worse.

Even funnier was his girlfriend who was wearing a loose v neck long sleeve shirt and shooting a Springfield XD 40.  While leaning forward to shoot, she had one of those shells eject straight down her shirt, and was dancing around like a maniac.  (Just in case my wife sees this post) I swear I was not looking down her shirt or anything like that.  I expected college kids to be smarter when it comes to choosing clothing to wear to the range.

ETA:  I used to shoot CCI exclusively out of my Glocks and I never had a problem with 9mm or 45 ACP.

I have seen a lot of people use the CCI for practice ammo.  For the most part it seems to work well in most guns.  As always, you should see what "your" gun wants for dinner.  I have seen a couple of problems with it here and there.  Another high rated low cost alternative is the Winchester white box.   It's brass cased and should be able to be bought at close to the same  price as the CCI.
