| Will the wilson 47d fit a fullsize 5" 1911 with a magwell? If not witch one do I need? Thanks |

A standard Wilson 47D has a .350" base pad, which is more than adequate for a gun equipped with a Wilson, Ed Brown, Smith and Alexander, Entreprise, or similar magwell. They also make a much larger .625" basepad, but it's completely unneccessary. I've used both, and either will work fine. If you bought regular 47Ds, then you have a .350" pad and don't need to buy any others. I've also used the low profile steel and plastic pads. They sit a little lower than flush with a S&A magwell, but they have never failed to seat for me. |
