Not as accurate as a Mark 23 or USP but still accurate enough for general purposes.

My Springfield 1911 shot like shit... I HATED the thing.

Then I was shown the PROPER way to shoot. (THANKS MALL NINJA!!! )

Now its my favorite... YES the gun is a major factor but if you use it wrong, whats the point?

I have the Mil Spec with a few modifications and WOW! real nice... I got the stock mil spec.. put the skeletonized hammer, sear, beavertail, flat mainspring housing and trigger from Chip McCormick all for under 100.00.. Get that from Brownells.

I think the 911 is a great gun and very accurate only problem is that it lacks bullet capacity.
It has been proven in a shot out you will miss 75% of your shots due to the fact he’s running ducking and shooting back, not to mention it's kind of loud.
With all that in mind lets do the math (6) rounds = 1.5 rounds (10) rounds =2.5 (13) rounds =3.5

The reason I choose the Glock 21 is the high cap mags and how reliable it is.
As far as accuracy I shoot them both the same. I know there are high cap 911 and I think that’s the way to go for a 911 shooter

Given the state that you are living in, I'll bet your G21 mags, if Hi-cap cost ya a fortune eh?

The 1911 is a great platform, accuracy wise it really depends on the weapon, ammo and your skills with them put togethor.

As for your figures on misses????   What's it matter?  I've read a bunch of figures, and most gun battles involving a handgun (non LEO) only amounted to about 3 rounds.  I'll see if I can find that quote.

Yeah, because all those GI's that  ever used it said they needed more ammo.  Hmmm.....

Louder than a 9 even though it's subsonic?  I'm not sure about this.  Have you ever shot the two side by side?

More rounds are probably better, but I've also read that the majority of encounters also have a low shot count.  I do believe I read it in my NRA mag.  Are they right, I don't know, but don't tell me I'm going to for sure miss.   You may miss 75% of your shots.

learn to hit moving targets. it is real easy.

There this sport called USPSA we have the T*, swingers, movers, and drop turners.

If all you shoot is static targets you'll never hit something moving.

as with any firearm you wont know till you shoot it.

At what range? My bullseye 1911 will hold 3" at 50 yards with the right load. My Para P-14 will hold 5" at 25 yards with any commercial ammo. Any correctly built factory 1911 should hold under 6" at 25 yards because the barrel and bushing are fitted for reliability, not accuracy. There are a couple of bullseye gunsmiths that test the stock barrel from the pistol they are building for target shooting for accuracy because in many cases, the barrel is accurate at 50 yards, just not the rest of the pistol.
