hey guys, i have a kimber warrior and a X200B...when mounted on the gun...it has a slight wiggle to it...it is just a bit loose...i did everything as far as using the loctite on the screws and such but cant figure out why it has become a bit loose....ive owned it now for about 2 weeks and the first 2 days it was on and sucure, very tight...but then it just got loose...what can i do???

I don't loctite the screws, but that's just me. The problem is that the top brackets are plastic. When you first adjust them, they feel tight, but shooting the gun or even letting it sit for a couple weeks will allow the plastic to expand enough to make it fairly loose. If your screws are not too frozen in place, simply try tightening them again. The plastic should be fairly set now. I went through the same thing when I first got an X200, and after the second tightening, it's gone through about 5,000 rounds fine.

I agreee it is not!!! Just another quick ??? Ive read that the DG switch for the 1911 will be out this year...I believe its the DG-18 ...I'm sure there have been many posts on this matter but have you heard anything on the release of the switch

I haven't seen the DG switch for the 1911 yet, and I don't knowif it's already out. I have one for the Glock, as well as a DG switch on my IMPL, and I like it. Hopefully it will be out soon.

Just ordered an X200B from Brightflashlights on Thurs (dang, it didn't show up on Sat... it'll be here tomorrow). He says the DG switces for the 1911 are not out yet. Supposed to be coming though....

Enroll the piece in a class that teaches Kegel exercises. Any time I come across a "loose" one, I have her do some kegels to tighten her back up.

Better make it tight or this will happen...

did you change out the standard cross piece it comes with for the one marked P for Picatinny rail?
The 200 comes with a P marked cross piece that must replace the standard weaver sized cross piece that comes attached.
The Kimbers have a true Picatinny sized rail and the standard Glock cross piece will give you about 1/8 of an inch or more of play if not switched out.

Read the supplied directions it's an easy swap.

did you try the switch out of the locking piece?

Probably getting an Operator this coming month, and was thinking a X200 would be nice to use on that and my Glock...this is making me rethink that. Would an M3 be better?

although the light was expensive and it sucks for that to happen, it sure makes an interesting conversation piece.

Hi;
This is my first post here. I am the guy on the video, whose X200 go blown into pieces.

It was one of the first run X200 lights, which had a 2 screw rail on it. Now surefire has changed to a more secure and flawlessly working 3 screw rail and an additional safety feature, which you can use if you want to.

I have to mention, that Surefire exchanged the light for a brand new one, that has worked without a hiccup so far. Premium customer service.

Strange, I never had a loose fitting X200 on any gun I ever mounted it on. The thing is at least 2 years old.
ETA: It's an A model.

No. I bought both lights to compare quality/craftmanship. I kept the Surefire and sold the M3.

Thanks for the info swatbwana.
I would've run into the same issue as the other person.
Sadly I am still waiting for my Kimber Warrior....about 4 weeks out.
I guess there was some kinda huge backorder for the Warriors.

My "2-screw-per-rail" x200A would loosen up within 75 rounds.

The x200B with Picatinny crosspiece just loosened up a little (with a little force I can move it fore/aft about 1/8") but isn't getting any looser.

The second "semi-permanent" set of rails will definitely cure the problem if you want to go that route, as there is an additional tensioner screw that puts upward pressure onto the rail. That sucker doesn't budge at all.

Good info, however by using the "semi-permanent" version does this mean it will become "impossible" to remove when cleaning the handgun? I'm curious as don't want it to be cumbersome to take on and off when cleaning the gun. hinking.gif

You need to put on the other cross bar.
