As there has been much speculation as to the type of finish on the new Ed Brown Special Forces model, here is the link for complete details: Gen III Ceramic Firearms Coating

Interesting.  I know PWS Quantico has been testing KG Coating's new ceramic based coating for a while now.  Looks like ceramic is the future for bake-on coatings.  I wonder if its as easy for the hobbiest to apply as the polymer coatings are.

That is interesting to see coming form Brown because I remeber reading on his website where they were renouncing all these new-fangled coatings. The article basically said blueing and bead blasted stainless were the only coatings they put on their guns because they could be refinished anywhere and they are proven finishes and so on. Does anyone else remember that?
