I saw a Kimber Ultra Carry II today for $615.  This seems to be a good price.  Anyone have experience with this pistol?  I'm wondering what the accuracy, reliability, etc.

Anyone have problems with theirs with external extractors?  I think this one may have an external extractor and I've heard that this may be a problem.  I also hear that Kimber will change them out if it isn't working properly to an internal extractor.

Main question:  Is this a good buy, even if it has an external extractor?

Thanks.

I have had a few FTE in the first couple of hundred rounds and with stock mags.
Switched to wilson combat mags and she purrs like a kitten now.

Is it a good buy? Yes.  I paid $800 for mine new about 6 months ago.  I got mine in .40cal and have had very few problems other than the slide not staying back after the last shot.  Called Kimber, explained the problem, and three days later I had a new slide catch.  Problem solved.

I have also found the gun to be a little fussy with ammo; however, I'm use to my H&K which will shoot anything.  Good Luck.
