| I'm thinking of buying one of these but I've heard there are reliabilty issues in regards to feeding, does anyone have any experience with this model? I'd like some opinions before I spend alot on one of these and end up regretting it like I did with my Para Tac Four which is about as reliable as a 1972 Harley-Davidson. |

Well, so far so good. Only had mine a few weeks, and have a little under 350 rounds through it. Mostly FMJ so far though, only about 25 JHP (Ranger). I've only had one malfunction, a very minor FTF (slight movement of the slide corrected trouble and sent the round to the chamber). It was one of the Rangers, but also one of the first 50 rounds I fired. I plan to go to the range again this week, and will run another 150 or so through, including at least 50 JHPs. I really don't anticipate any trouble from what I've seen. As for mags, first time out I ran the two stock six rounders, next up I ran the two Kinmber seven rounders and Wilson Combat seven round I picked up for it..... T Bone (Detroit). |

I own two of them. One was purchased used and it has been flawless with all ammo, including VERY light target loads, harball, Hydra-Shoks, Ranger and Ranger +P. The other one was purchased new and it has had a few minor issues. The slide would lock back before it was empty. This was cured by drilling a detent hold in the end of the slide stop. It now runs 100% with hardball, target loads and 165 grain Hydra-shoks. It still has ocasional feed problems with 230 and 200 grain hollow points. |

I bought one new and had a few issues but finally I'm pleased with it. The first problem was the worst. The first trip out to the range with the first magazine I only got through 5 rounds before the slide totally locked up with a spent casing jammed in the chamber. It went back to Springfield the next day. They said the slide had been improperly machined, they replaced the slide and returned it to me. Next I fired 50 rounds through it and was sure the sights were off so I sent it back a second time. They raised the rear sight and now it shoots great. I have almost 500 rounds of Golden Sabers and Walmart White box through it with absolutely no further problems. Only issue is it's taken a while to trust it after all that. |

Mine's the plain-jane WWII Micro-Compact. Cheapest one they got. I did have the slide dovetailed in the front and Wilson 3-dots installed. No problems so far, eats up WWB, Wolf (yeah,yeah,yeah...), 185+P HP's, everything I've fed it. ONLY problem I had was from the factory SA 6 rounds mags. They had a "tit" on the forward third of the follower plate. Little raised stamped bump. Held the last round up enough to FTFeed every time. Coupla seconds with a dremel and they feed fine. I just use 7rd Shooting Stars most of the time anyway and they feed fine....... |
