is $739 a good price for an all-stainless springfield loaded model?  The local dealer has one in stock at that price, and I am thinking of picking it up.  He wasnt able to order any Mil-specs or standard loaded 1911s, so this may be what I am looking for.  I will most likely be able to talk him down from that price, but I was just curious as to what they normally go for, to see how much I can counter-offer the guy.

That price seems to be about right. Great 1911 for the money. I hope you snag it.

I got the same gun in the 4" Champion format.  It absolutely convinced me that SA now has the production 1911 market by the nuts.  Very well put together, reliable, and accurate.  The finish polishing is better done then my Pre Series II Kimber Gold Match.  I would actually like to get the same gun you're looking at to make a pair, but I just have too many 1911's to justify that right now.  I would say go for it!  Don't worry though, you'll be buying more.  Wait until you make the jump to some of the premium brands!! LOL

You know, that is one thing I did not look at. This guy that runs the shop pretty much always orders everything he can with night sights though, to it probably has them.

That is a pretty decent price.  If it has night sights then it's a great price.  Usually, the loaded models come with Novak plain black sights.  Let us know how you like it and how well it shoots.  I plan on getting a Mil-Spec wihtin a year.  Thanks.

Thank you for the link, but I am not really looking to order anything online, just curious as to this guys stock.

He has a couple of SIGs and a Kimber Eclipse Target I was looking at in case I found out that this was a complete rip-off.
