I have a Series II TLE (with out rail) and it has the internal extractor.  Is this a wierd anomalie for a series II?  All of the Series IIs I have seen have teh external extractor.  Is this a transitional TLE or something?

Ooops looks like I should of asked this in the Kimber area...

Nope!  All series II denotes is that it has the firing pin safety.  I have a Pro Carry II and it also has an internal extractor.  Has 550 rnds thru it without ANY problems whatsoever.  Hope yours runs as good.

As Diamnondback has said the series II denotes the firing pin block assembly in the gun. Initial production series IIs retained the internal extractor. I currently favor carring a Custom II with internal extractor as it has proven to be an exceptional weapon.

The currently manufactured Kimber Series IIs are an external extractor design that I personaly avoid do to problems with many of  the extractors function.
