| i would like to have my TLE/RL II upgraded with a one piece beveled magwell/mainspring housing, ambi thumb safety, and parkerized, or finished with something else that will greatly reduce its rusting. i live in virginia; anyone with information about who would do this well for a reasonable price would be much appreciated.thanks in advance for all the info. |

at the very top of this page is a listing of very good 1911 smiths. From personal experience I'd say Tripp Research. My second choice would be to send it to Kimber Custom. I'm considering refinishing my TLE/RL II as well but first I'd like to put a bunch of rounds thru it. |
