[ARCHIVED THREAD] - AR15.com 1911 question?

I bought a 1911 springfield armory a while back. It is a loaded version with night sights. Blued. On the left side of it it says AR15.com LEGP #2. What do these markings mean. What would you say the gun is worth. Doesn't appear to be fired. Cocabolo grips. the other loaded features. Thanks for the help.

There was a special run of 1911s done and engraved with the AR15.com info. I don't remember how many sold. They weren't very expensive IIRC. I'll take it off your hands for $100.

I like to see a no frills, all biz, GI version, AR15.com 1911. Maybe a special run of 50 or more
made by virgil tripp or someone relaible on a caspian frame, like this

What does LEGP stand for? Best I can assume is "Limited Edition Government Pistol".

I figured out SEBR and SEAK and stuff :) We should get another run of the LEGP's done ;)

Actually, it stood for Limited Edition Group Purchase.... but I like your idea better.
