I would like to buy a Kimber Warrior. I like the fact that it is a series 1 saftey system. Problem, here in califonia I do not think it is on the DOJ's "OK list". What can I do? Were is a good place to get one. Impact is selling them for around $1049.00. Can they sell me one? Thanks, Erik |

Nobody can legally sell you one. If you lived in another state, bought one, and took it to Ca., then you illegally imported it. A regular FFL transfer is out of the question. I wish it were not true, as I would sell mine in a heart beat. No offense, but it's not that great of a gun. I just bought one, and though it's nice, it's not the only game in town. |
Are you having any specific problem with it, or do you feel that it was overated due to all the DET-1 hype? |
I'm having no problems whatsoever with it, but I'm also not going to fire it. I bought it as a gift for my best friend to give to him when he returns from Iraq. For an out of the box gun, it's well thought out and well made. However, for the price, I can put together a much nicer railed gun off of Caspian components. When I said it's not that great of a gun, I should have said that though it's very nice, though I don't personally feel that it's as nice as its price tag. I think the gun might be a little overated, but that's not a slam on the quality. I just think people are too eager to jump at a gun just because it's marketed as being used by a particular high speed unit somewhere. |
Understood! |
| You can buy a TLE/RL for alot less. It has all the same features minus the internal extractor(Ive never quite grasped the significance of that argument and Ive shot 1911s for almost 30 years...). Or, if you dont need the rail, you could just get a Custom II for a pretty reasonable price. If the extractor is that big of a deal to you ( I mean to YOU, not the opinion of a bunch of internet experts) then look for a Springfield or an older Kimber... |
