The Sig 1911 .22 adaptor has a series-80 firing pin safety.  I want to use it on a Kimber 1911 frame.

The Kimber is series-80, but Kimber uses a slightly different than normal series-80 system.  The Kimber frame does not activate the Sig series-80 plunger and the safety will not dis-engage.

If I remove the series-80 safety parts from the .22 Sig slide, but I leave the Kimber series-80 parts installed in the frame, will there be problems, or will it work?

Remove the slide parts, it will work perfectly fine.

The finger will not raise high enough to interfere with the slide movement by lodging into the plunger hole.
