Got her today.

Very happy. I greased her and shot 300 rounds with CMC powermags, Wilson's, and one SA mag. No problems, very smooth, great trigger. Very accurate. I wasnt really testing accuracy. Just function but damn I was shooting this thing at 25 feet as fast as I could and easily keeping the rounds in a group. That trigger was very conducive to fast, accurate fire.

At 25 yards I could still shoot fast and still keep a good group. This thing was fun

It's preferable to the alternative in my book.

Most of my guns don't get cleaned very often but this one will be cleaned everytime I shoot it.

The loaded is a great pistol. Congrats! And the parkerized comes with night sights. Does it have the ILS mainspring?

Nice looking pistol and a good book too. Check out his rifle book also, if you haven't already.

Sweet! Nothing like the feel of a good 1911 at the range.

So I put a flat recoil spring in her today. Felt the same. I just got it for a longer life. I'd be OK if it only gets 10k as apposed to 4-5k like a round recoil spring. It's not the 40k that Wilson advertises but whatevs. I like the longevity.

The way the new plug is formed is so it will fit a recoil buffer. Without it there is a little gap. I've never been a fan of recoil buffers but I don't like the gap either.

What would you do?

Eta. Up to 500 rounds without a hitch in 4 days
