Recently I've been bitten in a bad way with a 1911 bug, coupled with a need to buy a 45th POTUS MAGA gun. I've decided to buy 2 Dan Wessons, a duty coat VBOB and either a Stainless Valor or SB.
With what I've read so far it seems to me that the SB is a Valor with a few nice additions such as - ball cuts, adjustable night sights, recessed ss hole, duty coat frame. Is there any functional advantages to the Valor or does it come down to cosmetics? |
| SB is built to the same tolerances of the Valor. I have both and if they were both in 45 I would choose the Valor but only because of personal preference. You may consider doing what I did and get the Valor in 45 and the Silverback in 10mm. Both are fantastic weapons. |

I had a Valor, and it was OK. I could not get it to group consistently, and that may be due to my eyes not liking the rear sight. I bought a custom Silverback recently, and I have to tell you how much I love it. I had it done all in Duty Treat, added a short trigger and a magwell. It is phenomenal!
Silverback all day every day! |
