When sending your slide to Heinie or Novaks for sight installation do you strip it down or send the whole slide assy? |

To answer your question, stripped slide is fine (remove barrel and bushing).
If you are mechanically inclined whatsoever and have access to a vice, small hammer, and a file set, I would recommend doing it yourself. It is very easy, and as long as you take your time you will not have any problems. There are several good tutorials on YouTube. I get my Novak cut sights from Dawson Precision, and they include an aluminum punch and Loctite in the package. |
