The general answer is that it comes from the factory on some of the new guns, But is hard to find for replacements.
Yes it does make for a softer shooting gun I see Colt has adopted this on most of their new line of 1911's. But they or anybody else are not marketing say a double spring kit for something like a 5" 1911. |
| I liked it in my Colt Competition pistol so much that I've put them into all my 5" guns. Recoil seems a bit softer but I like the 15k round life of them. I am a bit concerned about what kind of battering they may put on my slide stop but I've seen no negative effects so far. |
