So I purchased this one a little over a year ago, and do not know what model it is.  It isn't the current LBO because it doesn't have the magwell.  It also doesn't seem to be the older MC Operator because it is all black, and it is not a Lightweight Operator.  The label on it advises a "Special Build Pistol", but I would think if it had any real custom work to it someone would have at least checkered the front.  Any ideas? I was thinking the original Long Beach Operator, but didn't know if those came with a magwell as well.  Sorry for the potato pics.

What's the UPC Code of your operator? That is the model # most places referring to.

Older MC Operator: PX9105ML
New MC Operator: PX9110LP
LB Operator: PX9105LLP
LW Operator: PX9116LP

Yep, some rail gun somebody ordered thru the custom shop. Prolly has a nice trigger and hand fit bbl and bushing.

Looks nice, how much?

Interesting. Not a true custom shop gun because it's missing the custom roll mark on front of slide.

Also, I think the original long beach operators had a magwell.

Call Springfield 1-800 number and give customer service rep the serial number, they should be able to know whether is a one off production request by distributor or for a special group or it is a custom shop pistol.

I think I paid $800 for it.

I will have to give this a shot, thank you.

Let us know. It looks like a nice gun and I bet it got some extra tlc. Have you taken it apart? They might have numbered the slide, barrel and bushing. And that was a great price!

It does have a number on the barrel if I remember correct, when I get home tomorrow morning I will check it out.

The barrel and slide do have a number etched into them.  Also contacted Springfield, only thing they have labeled for it is "Special Build Pistol", no specifics.  It was built January of 2013.  Other than that I guess it will be a mystery.  It's not going anywhere though.
