It looks like it is my turn to be cursed by mag issues.  First I had some C-Products stainless steel ar-15 magazines that wouldn't load right, now I am having issues with my S&W 1911 and Kimber Pro Tac-Mags.  They do not lock back on the last shot and sometimes, I have cycling issues where they fail to feed.

I guess my question is can these be rebuilt with the Wilson Combat conversion kit that Brownells sells?  Will they be just as good as my Wilson Combat or Novaks magazines if I rebuild them?

Don't get me wrong, the Kimbers are just relegated to range duty now, so technically it isn't that big of a deal.  The only problem is it really bothers the hell out of me when I have something that doesn't work like it is supposed to.

I figured as much!  I love the WC mags.  I have no idea where the Kimbers came from, but I have a feeling that some of my WCs disappeared and the Kimbers made their way into my pile at a shoot.

Glad I'm not the only one. I tried a couple of Tac-Mags and had a lot of failures to feed. Just recently got around to putting the Tripp Super 7 kits in them. Hopefully I'll

get out this weekend to try them out.

Kimber Pro-Tac mags are nothing but trouble.  Buy some Wilson Combat (or Tripp if you prefer)

I ordered some Tripp Research Cobra Mags to replace the three oddballs in my range bag.  I somehow ended up with two Kimber magazines and one generic magazine that has a J&J bumper pad on it.  The generic mag only holds 7 rounds and I have no idea where it came from because I only purchased 8 round magazines for my full-size 1911 and commander. In fact, I could have sworn that all I ever purchased was Wilson Combat 47Ds since the Act-mag manufactured Novaks came with both pistols.  All I know is next time I go shooting with others that have 1911s, I'm keeping closer tabs on my magazines.

EDIT:  To add to my magazine saga, I just took a look at three of my magazines loaded with SD rounds.  One is a Wilson Combat 47D, which is no surprise.  The other two include a Cobra mag and a CMC Power Mag.  Again, I have no idea where the others came from because all I ever purchased up until a few days ago were the WC magazines.
