I'm looking to get my worn finish on my STI 2011 tactical 4.0 cerakoted. Has anyone had theirs done? If so please offer pics and potential do's and dont's.

industrial hard chrome

this one was done by TRIPP RESEARCH

this one was done by mahavski's METALIFE

its hard, easy to clean, works well with tightly fitted guns, resists corrosion

Those are sweet. I'm leaning towards burnt bronze

My Tactical 5.0 was ceracoated by STI and I'm trying to decide between ceracoat or hard chrome for my Eagle 6.0.

Had my marauder done after all the original bluing came off with a couple wipes of a sweaty finger.  I had a local professional do it in graphite black and it came out great.  They had to "lap" it a little bit as the fit is already tight on those guns before you add a mil or two from the cerakote.  It was still very tight after that and I had to break it in a little more with live ammo.  After that it was fine.

I appreciate that advance. How does that finish react to oils?

Thinking of painting mine, but I also like the look of worn down bluing.

I cerakoted mine Sniper Grey...

Frame and Slide are Sniper Grey, controls, hammer, C-More mount are in Graphite black:

I had it TiN'ed. It was a stainless Storm Lake barrel (9mm, Wilson ramped, bull barrel, threaded 1/2x28). I can't remember who TiN'ed it though.

Oils bead up on it like a waxed car hood.  Here is the last one I did in black.  Masked off the rest of the frame and slide and left the metal in the white.

I went with burnt bronze frame and slide. The small parts will be done in graphite except the grip screws.
