All the controls on that gun are reversed, not just the slide. A left eject slide will not work unless you have a frame with the ejector on the right (and is reverse machined), so basically you are looking for a complete left handed 1911. Not all. Oddly the mag release is still for a right hander. Randall used to make LH 1911s. |

Radall Made left handed 1911's for awhile and that pictures show one made by Cabot Guns.
You can't piece together a left hand 1911. So you either have to find a Randall ( Their not made anymore) or spend alot and order a Cabot. I'm left handed and have no problem with a standard 1911. I don't even like ambi safeties and have learned to work the standard safety with my trigger finger. Don't waste you time or money on a left hand 1911. |

I'm a lefty and I'm trying to piece together a 1911. I need to find a slide with a left eject. This Southpaw 1911 has one and I'm hoping someone here knows where I can get one just like it. http://cabotgun.com/better-than-custom-1911-pistols/south-paw/ http://cabotgun.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/Cabot-South-Paw-2.png Thanks, VT This gun is made by Cabot... over rated crap... literally zero hand fitting on it... They pride themselves on a stupid marketing message of ex-tool and die makers who can slap together a 1911 with no hand fit parts. I guess thats fine, but for the 6K+ they ask for a pistol, you can certainly get a better pistol. The only other one I know who makes a all lefty 1911 is Joe Chambers. It would be a made to order full custom gun with around 4-5 year wait list... and a nice price tag as well! Randall made lefty 1911's back in the day, I do not think there is anyone else out there other than Cabot or Chambers who offers one... and between the two for similar money, Joe wins by a mile... Lets be honest, Joe Chambers IMO is the single best 1911 builder in the world:) Good luck on your journey! |
