Were the old 1970's vintage BoMar sight ribs made of aluminum or steel?

Did these BoMar sight ribs have lightening cuts on their under side or were they solid?

Who makes similar ribs for 5" barrel 1911's now?

I'd like to find one that was fairly light for a 9mm. Either aluminum or if steel, with substantial lightening cuts on the under side.

Unfortunately the Aristocrat ribs for 1911's are solid steel. They make Aluminum ribs for some other handguns (only revolvers I think), but not for 1911's.

Are their any other sight rib makers that might make aluminum sight ribs for 1911's?

I have a RRA Bullseye Wadcutter 1911 with their Bullseye Rib (which is steel) in 9mm. They have since quit making this gun in 9mm and only offer .45 ACP for obvious reasons.
