| Hi ! I have a 38 super frame that's sporting a 22 conversion. Can I use any upper I want (9MM, 45 ACP) or just 38 super ? |

The angle of the feed ramp is appropriate for 9x19, 9x23, and .38 Super.
It is not good for .45, though it would probably feed hardball all right. Not a good chance of it feeding anything else, however. 10mm maybe. If you have an appropriate slide, both a 9mm and a .38 Super barrel can be fitted, though you will have to use a .38 Super ejector if you want to shoot .38 Super. This makes the 9mm theoretically a bit less reliable, because of it's shorter case. Mine functions well, but for serious use, I would use it in .38 Super. |

My Series 70 9mm has a 38 super barrel for it and all I had to do is switch the barrel with link and pin, the barrel bushing and the mag and it shoots 38 super no problem. |

Were I a gambling man, I would bet some one has already swapped ejectors, or shortened the original 9mm ejector. I shortened a 9mm ejector for my Caspian .38 Super build. At it's original length it would only work with 9x19, now it works for 3 cartridges, 9x19, 9x23, and .38 Super. It is a little short for 9x19, but still works well. |

45ACP has a different ejector too You can thin the ejector, or widen the slide clearance slot. Being dedicated to working on the less expensive part I took about 0.010 of the side of the ejector. It takes less than one minute to change from .38 super to .45 ACP. Full length guide rods keep everything together off the frame. |

I believe Colt made the Delta Elite on the . 38 Super platform. Several of the parts I put in my Delta also fit the .38 Super ( firing pin, ejector ). Also look at the identical magazines. |
