I'm considering buying a Colt Defender in 9mm.

Thoughts?

Experience with one?

Pics?

Any and all info appreciated.

Never had a problem with mine. Runs at a 100%

I have the New Agent, same gun essentially.

I prefer the Range Officer Compact to both.

Mine's has been 100% reliable.

I knew I wanted a Defender, and when I made the choice, the 9mm just made so much more sense to me in this compact 1911, and I am very happy to have gone that way.

No regrets. This one is a long term keeper.

But (there is always a but), I hate the wraparounds that came with it. I immediately swapped the original grip out for thin wood grips. It made it a much different and much better pistol with just that one change.

At one point I had a 9mm Defender that I had refinished in black to look like a matching New Agent.
Great pistol and ran beautifully (as did the New Agent).  Wish I still had it.
Those Hogue grips or whatever they were that came with it were awful, though.

That looks really nice.

Black suits CCW guns much better than Stainless.
