always owned Glocks, sigs and HK hand guns. Last pistol I bought was a Springfield armory 1911. I have to say the Springfield fits great in my hand,I am extremely accurate with it. Could I have been wrong all these years is the 1911 the pistol for me?

No, sadly you are mistaken. This is a fluke.

German cars are fun too until you see the repair bills and upgrade costs.

I'm kind of thinking the same thing lately. I had all glocks. Rented a 1911 after not shooting one for a long time. Loved it. So just bough a Dan Wesson Valor and picked it up today. Excited to see how it works out.

I carry and shoot Tupperware most of the time.

But the 1911's get their own dedicated range days

I carry, shoot, do competitions and go to classes with 1911s. I trust my 1911s with my life

Ive never understood the hate they get. Low cap, sure, but that's the only thing it has against it IMHO. Shootability makes up for the low capacity if you ask me.

Besides I can hit from stupid close, to a football field away . Distance shots are highly unlikely, but it gives me a good feeling to know I can score hits up close as well as far away
