I emailed Springfield Armory through their generic contact form about having a carry cut done on my slide.  After a week with no response I figured it got lost in the shuffle and emailed again.
After another week I emailed Deb directly.  It has now been a week since emailing Deb and I have had no response.  Is this typical of response times for SACS?
Either my emails are not making it through or they are just extremely busy.

Thanks for the responses.

E-mail response has always been SLOW in my experience.  A phone call works much faster.

Thanks.  I did forget to mention that I called and left a voice mail for Deb Monday.

I don't know who else to move on to.  Any gunsmith that offers carry cuts as a service is no longer taking on any additional work to finish current projects.  Not too many smiths seem to offer carry cuts as a service.  I emailed John Harrison at Harrison Design and he is backed up for a year or longer.  I have an email into Carnick Custom.  I'll see what she says.

I've never had any luck emailing Springfield or their Custom Shop.  Phone calls are the best way to get in touch with them.

Amanda has usually responded the same day as my email. Maybe a day or two later if she is not there or extremely busy. Deb usually takes a few days, but I have not had much interaction with her.

I called SACS and left a voice mail for Amanda.  I had no idea having something as simple as carry cuts done was such a chore.

Every time I look for shops or smiths that can do it I have the Mission Impossible theme song playing in my head .

Amanda will take care of you, believe this. My 1911 is at sacs right now. They are super busy. I was quoted 4-6 weeks and its been 7 so far.  I am having a lot of work done though.
