Have to agree on the VZ grips. I have the thin Elite Tactical Carry in Black Cherry on all three of my 1911's. Plenty of grip and the edges are smooth for CCW. Save some money and order them while on sale. I used to use exotic hardwoods, or 1911A1 grips. Now, VZ's are where it's at. I haven't found a set that I don't like, but I prefer the Diamondback the most. They are fairly aggressively checkered, at 5 LPI. They are very grippy, but they are still A-OK for carry. |
