Does anyone have any experience with these? I ordered a Wilson Combat but a friend of mine pointed this out. It's a bit cheaper than the WC but I know Wilson's got a great rep.

Ed Brown and S&A are better.
If you're putting in a magwell on an SA (that isn't a custom) you will need a complete parts kit as none of the parts are reusable with MSH's that don't have the ILS. Also, the mainspring isn't pinned due to the mainspring safety, so it'll fall apart on you when you strip it. |

I have never had Wilson "drop in" parts drop in on any of my non-Wilson 1911s without fitting

I'll warn him. How are the Wilsons? The LGS just called and said my extended mags and magwell are in. I have never had Wilson "drop in" parts drop in on any of my non-Wilson 1911s without fitting
Yeah I'm worried about that as well. I might just order the EGW and decide which to keep with both in hand. |
| I have a Wilson on my RO and it is awsome. The checkering is machined not forged and is a high quality part. Also have them on 5 other 1911's I own. I have no experience with the EGW part you list so cant say anything about it, BUT you certainly wont be dissapointed with the Wilson 2 peice set up. Next time I need one I will definatly buy another Wilson simply from my past experiences with them. |
