How good are they?

I recently bought a new MC Operator and it came with a 1911 Loaded Coupon that allows me to buy mags and accessories at a discount. Have not had a chance to shoot it yet and wanted to know if I should make use of the coupon or just buy some Wilson mags. Not looking to do any serious mods to it  until I can break it in, but thinking about changing the grips and looking for ideas as well.

My TRP loves the SA mags.   If your gun likes them and you can,  buy every SA mag you can at the discount.

Eta. That's a nice gun.   I'd recommend VZ for grips or mil tac.

For the price, SA mags are hard to beat.

I think they're Metalform.  Maybe?

No clue if they're metalform or not. No markings on the mag other than 45acp.

These seem to be the mags that came with the gun. With the discount, I can pick up 10 @ $12.00 each.

Are you gonna run a light on it? If so what holster are you going to use? I've got a TRP Operator on the way.

Thinking about it. This is my first  gun with night sights on it, so I want to get used to them first then look at lights. After reading through the 1911 threads, I'm looking into TT or Milt Sparks. I need to look at their selection and go from there.

I have a TT for my 5" 1911 and love it. I'm needing a duty holster, for my TRP.

Taking it out shooting tomorrow. If the gun likes them, I'll most likely get the max of 10 mags.

Just got back from the range. The gun likes the mags and I'll be buying more. I used federal bulk ammo and shots were all over the target. My fault and the ammo. I then used HST2 to see how it handled hollow points. The shots really tightened up and I have full  confidence in the ammo and the gun. It'll be my HD gun and will share carry duty with my 5.7.

What else do you have the option to buy at discount? Just wondering since I'm waiting patiently for my TRP Operator( by patiently I mean as patient as a 6 year old waits for Christmas morning)

I know the feeling, as it was the same when I waited for mine. Here's a picture of the items you can buy. Mind you only the actual coupon will work. No phone/ online/ photo copies will work.

My Operator Champion has no problems with the factory mags.  I've also shot Wilsons and CMCs with it, no issues either.
