I have a PT1911 that is the matte blue frame and (seems to me) to be a parkerized slide. Is the slide in fact parkerized? I'm asking in the event I decide to have it Ceracoated I should only have to degrease it correct? Thoughts appreciated, thanks.

the finisher will take care of suface perp when the time comes for finsh to be applied. T says it is blue, which it can be just a rough surface finish on the slide vs the frame.

It's blued, just not very good bluing. Tends to show holster wear quickly. It's kind of like Remington Express bluing.
