I have a 2012 gold cup and am in the process of acquiring a SWR Octane
what are my options for threaded barrel? the slide is cut for the narrow .385 barrel hood
the only option I've been able to figure out so far is get a storm lake and manually fit the hood

I bought a gold cup specifically to avoid paying for / performing custom 1911 work

it's not like I'm chopping up the factory barrel, the only thing being "altered" would be an aftermarket barrel and the gun could always be returned to it's original condition

You might try BarSto. They can fit the barrel to your slide if you want.
