| The only "commander" style 1911 currently produced by SA is the LW Champion Operator with a 4" bull barrel. It would be awesome if they made real, 4.25", bushing barrel commanders. I'd like to see Milspec, Loaded, and TRP versions. Anyone else think SA should make commanders? |

I think they used to build them with a bushing.
I have a Champion with a bull barrel, and I don't see what a bushing could do better, I can shoot 8rnd + groups smaller than my fist until I get bored at 20yds and take down is a breeze. I would like to have one with an alloy frame though, but they still make one of those so given enough time and money I'll have one. Some of the earlier Champions did have bushings and there have also been some TRP Champions made. Quack over at the 1911Forum had a TRP Champion.
