I recently picked up a Ruger Commander 1911 and am thinking it needs a big brother. My local gun shop has both them and the Rock Island for about $150 apart and I was wondering if some of y'all with a little more experience on this platform could chime in. I'd have to get the ambi safety if I bought the Ruger as I'm left handed where is the RIA is already set, however, the Ruger sights are already cut for Novak sights. Internally am I getting more bang for my buck on the Ruger or just throwing money down a hole?
