Just got back from gunsmith. The magazine release had to be repaired. Work's smoother than before it got damaged. It's nice to have all 3 1911's in the same place at the same time.

Looks nice.  I want to have the front strap checkered and frame refinished on my Champion Operator too.

How much did the gunsmith work run you if you don't mind me asking.

When I had the front strap checkered and the frame finished last year it was under $200.00. Unsure of exact amount but I believe it was around 170.00. This time the magazine release popped out last time shooting it and it scratched the area around the release. The gunsmith had to weld a piece (had I know there was damage to frame I would have sent it back to Springfield) and then refinished the frame. Wilson Combat magazine release used by gunsmith and total charge this time was $180.00. The work was done by Otto Comp in St. Louis.
