| Trying to decide on which model to get. It seems like the Op II are the most popular but seem a little busy to me. Is there much difference between Recons, Aliens or Op II or is it just looks? Im leaning toward aliens or recons. |

I went with the ETC w/ super-scoop in Tiger Stripe. I like the color orange and felt like something different (Everyone rocks black on black...or black on gray). I like these a lot...this is in my carry rotation. Grips don't bother me when carrying but they are enough to get a good grip at the range. I would recommend them. 
I am guilty on owning a pair of black Operator IIs

Basically, if you look closely, Gunners and Recons have a bunch of little spikes because of the ball cut holes. The aliens basically have a bunch of corners. |
I have had many different type's of VZ grips and found for every day carry the Elite Tactical Carry works well. They have plenty of texture surface area but they are smooth around the edges which keeps it from hanging up on your shirt. I have 3 1911's and all sport the ETC thin Black Cherry grips. |

That's one of the most basic steps you do when you strip a gun We're going to take the parts that require punches and hammers out but leave those screws over the pieces that are prone to holding moisture? Edit: actual question i vote for the normal ones, not the ones that cover the pin simply because I prefer the look. |
