I got a Springfield non ILS MSH installed. There is a little side to side play in the beavertail grip safety. I don't know if it was like this before. Is this a problem? Thanks.

ETA:  The gun is a Loaded.

It was like that.   Not a problem at all.

It's not a problem.
It may not have been like that before.
Was the MSH extremely hard to slide into the frame? If no then it was like that before.
If yes then remove it, figure out where the hard contact is on the MSH and sand or file and test until you get only a slight resistance while sliding it into the frame.
I had a MSH that was just shy of needing a hammer to install, it definitely spread the frame a little and increased the space around the GS, five minutes of sanding and install/removal is now easy and the gaps around the GS are reduced, it's not going to make a huge difference in GS fit.

The MSH was very hard, I used a small brass hammer to get it in. Is it okay to have some side to side movement in the grip safety?

It's ok but since you notice it it will get on your nerves. Do what the post above says and you will be happy.

If I just leave it alone it won't cause any problems will it? It doesn't bother me that much.

I am sending my gun to SACS soon so could I just include something about "Tighten fit of beavertail grip safety and remove side to side play in grip safety"?

most likely it would require fitting a new grip saftey, one that is oversize in a few places like the EGW model, if they make it for the SA radius. Some side to side play is normal on a production gun and will not harm any thing.

Using the brass hammer on the MSH was proberly needed to compress the mainspring.

S&A makes a beavertal that fits the .220 radius. Could I buy one of these and send it in with the Gun and tell SACS to fit the new beavertail?

it may be the same width as your current gs.

I just put a note and let SA Custom pick the part.

So on the custom worksheet just write "Fit new beavertail grip safety."?

Here is a vid showing the movement. I handled a Range officer and there was no side to side movement and the grip safety was stiffer. Is there variations in beavertail fit or do I need to get someone to look at it? Thanks.

Update:  Fixed the looseness by bending the grip safety leg of the sear spring. There is still a little side to side movement, but much less than before.
