I have one and I'm satisfied with it. Very nice for the price and you get Springfields warranty.

I have a park'd MilSpec. N serial #.

It rattles when you shake it and has been 100% since I bought it several years ago.

I like the slanted cocking serrations better than the vertical on the GI.
And I like that they are spaced very close as opposed to the wide spacing of the Loaded.
And no front serrations.
What's not to like.

I think I paid $530 NIB at that time.

It's not very GI at all but a nice base gun or use as is.

I'd avoid stainless altogether. A carbon steel 1911 is better in every way.

It's a basic 1911 with better sights than a GI model at a not outrageous price, do it. The MilSpec name is ridiculous though.

They're great basic .45 Autos.

Wish I'd kept my parked 1992 era NM model.

I would second this. I've had two SS 1911's(SA Loaded and Kimber Eclipse) and they never developed that glass smooth feel like my carbon steel ones(Colt XSE, SA G.I.). After a few hundred rounds and grease on the rails, my carbon guns just glide perfectly. The SS ones still feel slightly coarse.

I have a park'd one and its my cheapest and most accurate 1911. Its a NM one and I think that makes a big difference.

I've had a NM for about 6 yrs, not one problem and accurate.

Same here!  I have 3 Colts and a Para Ordnance, and while my SA NM Mil-Spec isn't my best or my favorite, I won't get rid of it!

Mine is a great gun.  After the first class it had a new beaver tail in under a week.

I bought one approx. 4 yrs ago for a truck gun. Very happy with it except the turd trigger pull. Dropped in a C&S 5 piece hammer set & every thing is good. Made an unbelievable difference.

Have my parked one for about 4 years now and it never misses a beat. Shot loads of 200 gr swc hardcast through it.
