| Anybody have any info on this? Saw it on the SA website but havent seen much anywhere else. Has anyone bought one? Thanks. |
| I gave myself one for Christmas. I like 9mm 1911's, and this is a fine example. Parkerized finish seems a little soft. I swear that I put a scratch on it just taking it out of the box, but the gun is definitely a shooter. I feed it a couple of hundred of my 147 grain, cast lead, flat point reloads without any issues. I didn't do a "real" accuracy test, but it shot to point of aim with only a minor windage adjustment. |

I picked one up. I also think something isn't right with the finish. When I was looking at it in the store, I thought it was just dried preservative. But the finish on the sides, towards the rear of the slide is mottled looking. It is as if the metal wasn't polished properly before they parked it. And the SA emblem is rollmarked fairly inconsistently and lightly. The bottom looks like an open wreath. At first I thought that was the way they are, until I double checked my 45.
Aside from that, it looks and feels exactly like the 45 from the outside. MSRP is the same between the 45 and the 9, so you guys should be able to find them for the same price as the 45s in your area. |
