I just picked up a Dan Wesson Specialist in matte stainless and want to ditch the ambi safety. I am worried about getting a Wilson Combat or Ed Brown safety that matches the stainless finish so I am thinking about doing contrasting blued small parts equal to the Dan Wesson quality. Any recommendations?

Also, the right side of the frame is countersunk for the slide stop. Does this require a special slide stop?

Yes, it's a special slide stop.  I haven't seen anyone offer up an aftermarket short slide stop that is radiused yet.  If matching finish were a priority, I would recommend contacting CZ directly and ordering a single sided stainless safety.  Or, you could order both parts in blued steel from them.  Best as I can tell from seeing these guns in person, they are bead blasted with a medium type finish.  I have duplicated the finish with a mixture of coarse and fine glass in my friend's shop, and it matches perfectly to my eye, but who knows what DW uses.

Also keep in mind any part you swap will often need hand fitting for proper function.
