Buying pieces for my 1911 build and was looking at some Infinity parts. Seem to be higher priced than competitors parts.

Are their parts really that good? I can find very little end-user reviews / opinions on the parts. What I do find seems to be positive, but makes me wonder, if they are so good, why don't you hear about them more?

Is it just a price thing? Or are they really not up to par with other companies?

Parts I am looking at are for the FCG

Thanks

I have been using their FCG in my 9mm, it's REALLY nice. Nice crisp break, quick reset.   It is definitely on the light end for carry though, running about 3.5, if it was any lighter I probably wouldn't carry it.

One thing to note is you'll have to get their safety with it probably, had some fit issues using the original stock safety and a Wilson safety. The thumb safety.

I recently had the chance to toy around with a full on SVI... Ugh, probably the finest firearm I've ever played with... If I was a millionaire I'd have one.

Good parts from a company that tailors to the comp crowd.

Thanks guys!

I am still on the hunt for the "squared" hammer for my build. Was going to go with the STI hammer & FCG, but after finding out their FCG parts are kinda meh compared to others on the market, I start to look else-where.

Came across the Infinity hammer and due to the little I have heard, thought it might be better to pony up the extra cash for the higher quality parts. Since I am piecing this build, I can buy a little at a time so the higher piece cost wont really bother me too much.

Thumb safety I will be using is the EGW HD Thumb Safety.

Yes, this will be a carry gun, and yes, I am going to have a local, reputable shop do all the fitting.

They are excellent, but not always worth the premium IMO.
