Curious to know the 1911 forums experience with longer 1911 triggers. My long fingers put my Rem1911r1 trigger in the middle pad of my finger well past the crease much less the center of the first pad. I would like to get a black, but stainless/aluminum is fine too. Adjustable take-up not necessary.

What do y'all prefer?

I think the last trigger I bought was a Harrison Design.   Good stuff there.

For a while I was using Greiders but they started coming with bows that were too long and ate up all my pretravel, making trigger bounce more of a possibility.

I really like my Videki trigger, but that's not much help. I would go with whatever ken recommends.

you might consider a flat/checkered trigger at the same time... gives you a good tactile pad for your finger... I've had them in my 1911s since 1983, when an exceptional shooter and pistol smith named Dan McDonald showed me one...

Awesome! Thanks guys. Had not seen the Harrison Designs until your mention of it. Might try the flat, but I'm partial to keeping the curved.

Have you looked at the Heinie lightweight trigger?

10-8 baby.

NIce price, easy to fit, great feel.  No possibility of your over travel adjustment coming out.

If I recall correctly, King's Gunworks had an extra long trigger for those with gargantuan mitts. Not much room in the trigger guard, but proper finger placement was assured.
