Has anyone used them with success? Tried mine for the first time today( 8 rounds, blackened mag body) and they caused multiple malfunctions. Whatever finish they use on the black ones is causing the follower to drag going up the tube and slowing down the speed of the magazines feeding ability. And yes the gun works with all other mags I have.
Just curious if this is an isolated incident or have others had the same issue. Update: Contacted Wilson, I was told they had a known bad coating issue( the black is melonite) in a certain lot of mags. I was told to send them in and they will replace them. So did that but I had to pay the shipping costs and I am not happy about that at all. Probably will stick with McCormick mags in the future. Also, the guy on the phone made it out like he was breaking the rules and doing me a favor by replacing their defective mags. |

Contact Wilson they will replace your mags. If the gun works with all other mags (as you said), but Wilson, then you got bad wilson mags, or your 1911 does not like Wilson mags. Don't count on it. I called WC once, about 3 years ago, guy told me it was the stores problem where I bought it. I use other peoples stuff now. |

mine ran great for about 6 months- and then they started to chronically have issues locking the slide back after the last round- in 5 springers (2 TRP's, 2 professional operators, and 1 mil spec), and in my colt series 70.
i switched to Chip McCormick power mags, on Hilton Yam's recommendation. a year and a half later- no regrets, and no mag related malfunctions. i have a dozen loaded with duty ammo- that rarely get cycled, and 25 range mags- and all 25 of them get run equally (ish). i shoot about 1000 rounds of .45 a month, between work, competition, and recreation- and i have had no problems. -this is about 8 round mags- not 10 round. i just dont trust the 10s for duty use. |

My experiences with the McCormick mags have also been stellar, including a 10 rounder I have been testing. Thought I would give the ETMs a try. Not impressed by the nylon follower.

I switched to Chip McCormick Power Mags on Hiltons recommendation as well. After attending one of his classes and having issues with my 47Ds and then trying Chip McCormicks I decided to stay with them.
